Ep. 1 - PILOT
Dirt covered hands and coverall clad, my father was always judged by his outward appearance. Working on cars all day led to him being looked down at by people only taking note of his external characteristics.
Unknowingly, it put a huge chip on my shoulder. I wanted to be the person that always looked sharp. No one could judge me like they did my dad.
This guy has the kindest nature towards everyone. Growing up you don’t know how things affect you until later on. It’s funny how that happens. But I’m thankful for my father and thankful for that realization. It helps me push my boundaries to heal, grow, and be grateful.
In this series, I get dirty. I do the hard, internal work to excavate thought patterns, feelings, and emotional extremes. I welcome you in to do the same. How deep should you go? That is up to you.
___
I wear coveralls while I paint as tribute to my dad’s mechanic uniform.
